What We Will Need to Register Your Company
To successfully register your company and complete the Beneficial Ownership Filing, please prepare the following e-documents for upload:
1. Certified ID / Passport
A clear, certified copy of each director’s and shareholder’s South African ID or valid foreign passport.
2. Proof of Residential Address
A recent proof of address for each director and shareholder (not older than 3 months). Accepted documents include a utility bill, bank statement, or lease agreement.
3. Shareholder Details
Full details of all shareholders: full names, ID/passport numbers, and percentage shareholding.
4. Beneficial Ownership Information
The details of the ultimate beneficial owners (the persons who directly or indirectly own or control the company), including their certified ID and proof of address.
5. Supporting Documents (If Applicable)
If a shareholder is a company, trust, or other legal entity, please provide the registration documents of that entity.
6. Company Name Choices
Provide at least 3 preferred company name options (in order of preference) for reservation with CIPC.
Important: All documents must be scanned clearly and uploaded in PDF or JPEG format. Certified copies must be signed and stamped by a Commissioner of Oaths, notary public, or a police officer authorised to certify documents in South Africa.
